A Polish Winter

Wildlife in the snow

Dark forms gather beneath an orange sky. Snow clings to a bison’s coat. An antlered head appears between tree trunks.

Dark forms gather beneath an orange sky. Snow clings to a bison’s coat. An antlered head appears between tree trunks.

Snow simplifies the landscape, leaving animals and bare trees to define the scene. Against that pale setting, small changes in light become especially visible: blue shade, white frost and the warm edge of a low sun.
