Bears of Alaska

On the shore and in the falls

A cub crosses the open sand, curious by these creatures that have stopped to admire in awe of it's family.

A bear crosses open sand. Cubs follow an adult along the shore. At the falls, brown fur meets white water.

These photographs move from quiet portraits to the energy of the river. Open backgrounds give space to individual animals, while the fishing scenes bring bears and rushing water into a much tighter frame.
